Subsequent to our article "Change in Timing for Distribution of your Pension and Benefits Statement" posted on April 15, 2009, you will receive your annual statement in the near future. As mentioned in the article, the timing for the distribution of your statement has changed this year to include the most recent pay information concerning your pension and insurance benefits. Your Statement Guides are currently available online.

If your department has access to the online personalized pension tools, you are encouraged to suppress the print of your annual statement in the interest of reducing paper consumption. You will still be able to view your statement online. If you are unsure as to whether your department has access to the online personalized pension tools, please contact your Compensation Advisor.

Note: An issue has been identified with the data displayed in the Designated Beneficiary field on page three of Your Pension and Insurance Benefits Statement. If there is a date showing in the Date of Most Recent Designation field, then the Designated Beneficiary field should read Yes. In some cases, this field reads No, even if a Designated Beneficiary has been named.

If you have access to the personalized pension tools (Compensation Web Applications (CWA)), you may view Your Pension and Insurance Benefits Statement online (see the section Protection for Your Survivors, Lump sum payment, where the Designated Beneficiary data has been corrected). If your department does not have access to the CWA, you can contact the Public Service Pension Centre for clarification.
