Hi and welcome to Your Public Service Pension and Benefits Web Portal, your one-stop shop for all your pension and insurance benefits needs. For the next couple of minutes we are going to walk through some of the features of this site and see how the information is organized.
We refer to this site as a portal because it provides an entry point to pension and insurance benefit information located on many different Government of Canada Web sites.
To get the most out of your experience with this site, begin by identifying yourself based on your status as a plan member.
The Web Portal is tailored to provide information unique to your needs as a specific audience member, such as:
Let's use the "Active Member" audience as an example by clicking here. As you can see, a new page will open with content and links tailored to your needs as an active member.
Similarly, if you click on any of the other audience profiles, the information is customized for that group.
Each profile contains an "Information and Tools," a "Resource Centre," a "Features" area, and a "Life Events" section. Life events are a list of life experiences that may impact your pension and insurance benefits.
Under the "Life Events" list on the right hand side of the page, you will see a "Features" section. This area is where recent or important information about your plan is published. Here you can also find hot buttons. These are quick links to new and useful information on the site for your plans.
If you move to the "Resource Centre," you can find a list of forms related to your pension and insurance benefit plans. These forms are customized for each member profile and are available to download and print.
Let's view the "Information and Tools" section.
Here you will find links to general information on your pension, group insurance benefit plans and a list of plan "Information Notices."
Now let's look at an exclusive feature of the "Active Member" profile, "Tools."
Using these tools, you can make estimated calculations of your future pension entitlements.
The "Personalized Tools" bring you to the Compensation Web Applications, or CWA, to perform various scenarios using your own personal data.
If any of your questions have gone unanswered, the "Contact Us" link will bring you to a page showing you how to contact the Public Service Pension Centre. The Pension Centre is happy to answer any questions you may have.
Thank you for taking this tour. We hope that you found Your Public Service Pension and Benefits Web Portal useful and informative. I invite you now to take some time to explore the site on your own.
